Cheesy Chicken Garlic Wraps with juicy seasoned chicken, creamy garlic sauce, and melted cheese toasted in crispy tortillas for an easy dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients:
2 large chicken breasts, diced
4 large flour tortillas
Seasonings & Oil:
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Cheese & Sauce:
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup creamy garlic sauce (bottled or homemade)
Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Add the diced chicken to a mixing bowl. Pour in the olive oil, then sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the top. Stir until all of the chicken pieces are evenly coated with the seasonings.
Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. When the pan is hot, add the seasoned chicken and spread it into an even layer. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring a few times, until the chicken is golden on the outside and cooked through in the center. Remove the pan from the heat and let the chicken cool slightly.
Lay the flour tortillas out on a flat surface. Spread a thin, even layer of creamy garlic sauce over each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges to help prevent leaking.
Divide the cooked chicken evenly among the tortillas, placing it in a line slightly off center on each one. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the chicken on each tortilla.
Fold the sides of each tortilla inward, then roll it up tightly around the filling to form a wrap. Place the wraps seam side down on a plate or cutting board so they hold their shape.
Return the same non-stick pan to the stove over medium heat. If the pan looks very dry, you can add a light spray of oil or a very small drizzle, but you should not need much.
Place the wraps seam side down in the hot pan. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on the first side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortillas are golden and crisp.
Flip each wrap and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes on the other side, until the cheese has melted and both sides of the tortillas are lightly browned.
Transfer the Cheesy Chicken Garlic Wraps to a cutting board and let them rest for a minute. Cut each wrap in half on the diagonal, garnish with chopped fresh parsley if using, and serve warm.
Notes
Serving: Pair these Cheesy Chicken Garlic Wraps with a simple green salad, roasted vegetables, or fries. Extra creamy garlic sauce or ranch dressing on the side makes a great dip.
Spice Level: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the chicken seasoning if you like a little kick.
Make Ahead: You can cook and season the chicken up to 2 days ahead and store it in the fridge. Assemble and toast the wraps right before serving so the tortillas stay crisp and the cheese melts fresh.
Cheese Swaps: Try Monterey Jack, pepper Jack, or a cheese blend instead of cheddar and mozzarella for a different flavor in your wraps.
Storage: Leftover wraps can be cooled and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or air fryer so the tortillas crisp again. The microwave works in a pinch but will give a softer texture.
